Object Apparel was founded in 2015 in Detroit, Michigan by artist and architect Mollie Decker out of a desire to produce well-constructed clothing using only natural materials and ethical production practices.
Since sewing our first pair of undewear out of the spare bedroom of a high-rise apartment above the trees of Lafayette Park, we are now in a live-work space amid the prairies and gardens of North Corktown - where we design, cut, sew, dye, print, and dream up one piece at a time.
All of our fabrics are organically-grown and ethically produced to ensure the health and well-being of the planet and people producing them. We only use plant matter to dye our fabrics, and water-based inks for printed patterns. Our mission is to forever create high-quality timeless clothing with an artistic sensibility that can be worn by any body.
Thank you for all the love and support, we can't do it without you!
